Lucy Guerin Inc (LGI), NAISDA and Joel Bray Dance have partnered to create an exciting professional development opportunity supporting NAISDA graduates to transition into the professional dance sector.
In 2026, one NAISDA graduate will be selected to undertake a two-week paid internship, comprising:
- One-week secondment with Joel Bray Dance in Brisbane, scheduled between Monday 13 – Friday 24 April 2026
- One-week secondment with Lucy Guerin Inc in Melbourne, scheduled between Monday 18 – Friday 29 May 2026
ELIGIBILITY
This is a competitive two stage application process eligible to NAISDA graduates.

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS
- LGI will provide the Intern with an award-level weekly wage, per diems, and suitable accommodation for the two-week engagement.
- Two return economy class airfares: one from NSW to Melbourne and one from NSW to Brisbane.
- Complimentary access to selected LGI programs, including company rehearsals, professional classes, and workshops (subject to scheduling).
- Digital check-ins before, during, and after the internship to support ongoing engagement throughout the program.
Supported throughout by First Nations buddy Ngioka Bunda-Health, this internship aims to offer the selected artist an introduction to life as an independent dance artist in Melbourne and support them in developing strong connections to the professional dance industry.
