Purpose

NAISDA is the leading First Nations arts training organisation creating and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges and wisdom through excellence and innovation in dance and performing arts education.

Objectives

  1. Deliver responsive, lifelong arts education led by Indigenous Knowings to empower the creative, professional, and personal growth of students, artists and practitioners.
  2. Prioritise a First Nations approach to social, emotional and physical wellbeing to support student success and excellence.
  3. Support vibrant collaboration and engagement to share and celebrate First Nations creative and cultural practice locally and globally.
  4. Be the custodian of the NAISDA story, legacy and values.
  5. Be a self-determined, innovative and sustainable organisation through strong governance, leadership and resource management.
  6. Recognise and uphold the UN Declaration on the Rights for Indigenous Peoples in all our endeavours.
