Over the last ten years NAISDA enrolments have increased by 150%. Course attendance sits at 93% and course completion at 84%. This is significantly higher than the national completion average of 38% for equivalent courses across the Vocational Education and Training sector and more than triple the average of 25% for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people*.
NAISDA graduates have been at the forefront of Contemporary Indigenous Dance within Australia, shaping Australia’s performing arts landscape for over 40 years. Today they are recognised as our country’s leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dancers, choreographers, independent artists and creative and cultural innovators and pioneers.
