The NAISDA Mid Year Show (MYS) is a series of performances held at NAISDA celebrating the work of the DAs during the first semester.
The MYS is performed at NAISDA at the conclusion of Semester 2, celebrates NAIDOC (National Aboriginal Day of Celebrations) week and is open to the public with a focus on daytime school shows.
The MYS is a chance for the DAs to show what they have learnt during the semester and express this through performance.
For some new DAs this will be their first performance experience.
The MYS also gives our Diploma DAs the chance to experience elements in technical production of creating a show. As part of their performance and production unit Diploma DAs undergo training in
- Stage Management
- Lighting Design
- Lighting Operations
