KAMU 2015

NAISDA Dance College and Carriageworks proudly presented NAISDA’s 2015 Season of Kamu, held at Carriageworks from 25-28 November 2015.

Kamu is the Kala Lagaw Ya word meaning; Mangrove flower. Like children, mangrove seeds stay attached to their parent, growing until they are ready to detach and make their salt-water journey onwards.

“KAMU epitomizes the continued cultivation of cultural values inherent to our foundation and our conscious responsibility towards the health of our land and seas.” – Frances Rings, Director.
