Tony comes from North-East Arnhem Land, Elcho Island, Galiwin’ku. He was raised in his real Homeland Called Rorruwuy outstation. The first time he learnt about NAISDA was at his father’s funeral which was in Nyinkay. Then he started teaching cultural songs and dances at NAISDA.
When he was a little boy, his dad used to say to him that he should be teaching about his culture. Teaching is the true way of life – teaching classes of his Indigenous Aboriginal dance. This to him, is the real person of what and who he is. His life is about teaching and sharing his culture
