Mitchell Markham – Support Officer

Mitchell Markham is a Support Officer at NAISDA.

“I am an Aboriginal man with a beautiful family. I am Mitchell Markham and was born on Darkinjung Country. My cultural heritage is Wiradjuri & Yuin. My mother is Aboriginal where our Wiradjuri bloodline Simpson’s are from Cowra and Pittman’s from Ulladulla.

I have a strong connection to the Central Coast Aboriginal community. I went to school on the Peninsula and was actively involved in all Aboriginal community events throughout the Central Coast. I have mentored and worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people for most of my adult life and supported them to overcome the many barriers they have faced.

Working with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth has been a passion for me.”
