My name is Jessica Hanson and I’m a proud Aboriginal women born and raised on Awabakal Land in Newcastle, NSW. Traditional and Indigenous contemporary dance has had a huge impact on my life and guided me onto the NAISDA path. My aim whilst at NAISDA is to gain the skills and knowledge needed to be a teacher for Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth across Australia and continue to keep Aboriginal culture alive through the new generations to come.
