Debra is from Bundaberg in Queensland and in her early career as an architect, designed and project-managed the creation of many arts and cultural places; and as an arts manager has managed theatres, galleries and award-winning cultural programs with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Debra is passionate about creating a strong and resilient place for learning and cultural practice at NAISDA, and has been the General Manager since 2010. In 2016, Debra was appointed NAISDA’s Chief Operating Officer. This position includes key responsibilities in the areas of financial and human resource management, governance, accommodation services, operations and strategic planning.
