My name is Brianna Kemmerling. I am a proud Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman raised in Weipa, Cape York in Far North Queensland. My mob stretches from Kaanju Country in Coen, through Wik, Yupungathi, Taepadhighi, Ankamuthi, and Erub, Yam, and Badu Island in the Torres Strait.
I have danced from a young age, performing a range of different styles including jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and cultural. Since being at NAISDA my heart has led me to become an independent artist. That way I am able to explore the urban and contemporary industry, however it would be an honor to be given the opportunity to emerge into company life.
