Gain a unique experience as an Artist Assistant working under the guidance of Acclaimed Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi Artist Jonathan Jones.
You will be assisting in the production and creation of a major work for the 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art at the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art later this year.
The project will involve the collection of found objects, engage with traditional practices of string making, carving and binding, to create multiple objects.
This Internship will offer a creative environment for young people to learn a diverse skill set in creative practice, exhibition and commercial enterprise, while assisting an artist.
