NAISDA and NIDA: A week of Creative Collaboration - 15.08.19

For one amazing week in July, NAISDA Developing Artists and students from NIDA’s Directing for Performance and Writing for Performance Courses came together for five days of intensive creative collaboration.

NAISDA and NIDA are both members of ARTS8 – the Federal Government round table of  Australia’s eight elite performing arts bodies.

Working in small groups, students from both organisations were asked to explore and share themes, ideas, skills and mediums to develop an original creative work, with full creative autonomy throughout the process.

The week culminated in a presentation of these new works to the rest of the students and the trainers of both organisations.

Throughout the course of the week, we sat down with some of the people involved in the collaboration to discover what it meant to them. Click the links below to hear from some of the students and trainers involved in the project.
