Raymond D. Blanco – Head of Culture & Training Operations

Raymond D Blanco is of Kanju / Wik (Cape York) Aboriginal heritage & Magarem of Mer Island (TSI) on his paternal side; Erub Island (TSI) and Malay on his maternal side. A 1984 Graduate of NAISDA, Raymond is an acknowledged leader in the development of Indigenous Dance and the Performing Arts both in Australia and internationally with a diverse career that spans 30+ years.

As one of Australia’s highly regarded choreographers, directors and performers with a strong motivation in nurturing Indigenous Youth through the arts, Raymond continues to work with Dance and Indigenous communities throughout Australia. Raymond is currently the Head of Cultural Training & Operations at NAISDA Dance College.
