Monique comes from Wonnarua Country, with ancestral ties to Wiradjuri Country. She has a diverse training background, with extensive experience in ballet and jazz technique. Monique is a two-time recipient of the Wanay Kuway Kuway Award from her local AECG, recognising her commitment to embedding Aboriginal culture within educational institutions.
In 2025, she completed her Certificate III at NAISDA, where she trained under Vicki Van Hout, Karul Projects, Legs On The Wall, Azzam Mohamed, Melanie Lane, and participated in Bangarra Dance Theatre intensives. Monique performed in NAISDA’s end-of-year production Echoing the Future, directed by Charles Koroneho. She learned from Cultural Tutors, notably Heather Mitjangba Burrawanga and Tony Mudalyun Ganambarr.
Monique is currently studying at NAISDA, completing her Certificate IV. She aims to enter the commercial dance industry while remaining deeply committed to the continuation and growth of her cultural technique.
