Con Apostolopoulos – Director

Con Apostolopoulos is a seasoned media executive and strategic advisor with over two decades of experience leading commercial growth, content strategy, and international partnerships. He has held senior leadership positions in some of the world’s most recognised media brands, including his tenure as Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and the Middle East at National Geographic where he was responsible for driving regional expansion, overseeing advertising and sponsorship strategy, and building high-impact partnerships that connected audiences with purpose-led storytelling.

After over a decade living in HK, Con returned to Australia with the family and served as Executive Director of Partnerships & Development at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), where he led national engagement strategies and cultivated collaborative partnerships with media, creative, and cultural sectors to advance the careers of Australia’s next generation of screen professionals.

Currently, Con is the Chief Advisor at The Costa Advisory, a consultancy that works at the intersection of media, culture, and commerce. In this role, he advises major broadcasters, government agencies, and global brands on commercial strategy, cultural investment, and brand-led content initiatives.

In his role as Director of the NAISDA Foundation, Con brings a deep commitment to Indigenous creativity and cultural storytelling, supporting NAISDA’s mission to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performing artists and strengthen Australia’s cultural future.
