Apply to Audition at NAISDA

Applications to Audition for NAISDA are invited by completing the Audition Application Form according to Step 1 below.

To keep everyone safe and in response to this year’s COVID-19 restrictions, all NAISDA 2021 auditions will now be held completely online. If you have already applied and were intending to join us for one of our onsite auditions, we will be contacting you directly about what to do next to ensure you can now audition online instead.

If you haven’t applied yet, are aged 16 to 26 with a passion for dance, culture and the performing arts there is still time.

How do online auditions work?

We have prepared two dance routines – a Contemporary Aboriginal Dance and a Urban Style Dance which you can watch and learn at your own pace. Once you are feeling confident, record yourself completing the dance(s) and then click on the link in the NAISDA Application Form to send us your video.

You will need to submit a video of at least one of the dances, however we encourage you to have a go and send us both dance routines. You are also welcome to submit an additional video of yourself performing a solo piece which demonstrates your own dance work.

Once we’ve received your application form and dance videos, we will contact you within two weeks to organise a convenient time for a friendly 30-minute interview with you online.
