2019 Chairperson’s Excellence Award - 09.04.20

The Chairperson’s Excellence Award is generously sponsored by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and is presented each year to a graduating Diploma DA in recognition of their exemplary positive contribution to college life and highly distinguished artistic and academic performance record.

A trophy and monetary gift are presented at the annual Graduation Ceremony and the DA’s name included on the NAISDA Chairperson’s perpetual trophy.

We are thrilled to announce that the recipient of the NAISDA Dance College 2019 Chairperson’s Award is…

Maddison Paluch

It has been an absolute pleasure to witness Maddie’s learning trajectory and success over the last three years. She came to NAISDA having spent a year as a trainee at Bangarra Dance Theatre. She has dedicated herself to following her aspirations and we have watched her train with rigour and passion, transforming herself into a fantastic dancer and developing her choreography and artistic practice with powerful skill and creativity.

Maddie is hardworking and a generous team-player demonstrating thoughtful consideration of others. She carries an incredible sense of community and integrity across her work and collaboration, putting 1000% into everything she does. Her performances and work are instilled with a beautiful sense of artistry, humility as well as strength and confidence in her expression, voice and storytelling.

On behalf of the NAISDA Chairperson, Board, Executive, Trainers and staff, we send Maddie our heartfelt congratulations for her outstanding achievements and for continuing the NAISDA legacy of exceptional young Indigenous women in dance and the performing arts which we know will inspire future creators and performers.

We would like to thank the Commonwealth Bank of Australia for generously sponsoring this Award.
