Each year, those Developing Artists who display outstanding effort throughout their training and learning are awarded a NAISDA Distinction Award or High Distinction Award for their studies.
To receive a NAISDA Award, Developing Artists are nominated for their outstanding skills, knowledge, attitude, and performance during the Summative Assessment period by the NAISDA assessor team or by their trainer. The Class of 2019 Developing Artists were assessed according to the following criteria for each award:
High Distinction
- 95% attendance overall
- Receive a high distinction in assessment of the unit
- Excellent general attitude
- Excellent dance and academic performance
- Contribution to NAISDA culture
Distinction
- 90% attendance overall
- Receive a distinction in assessment of the unit
- Excellent general attitude
- Excellent dance and academic performance
- Contribution to NAISDA culture

High Distinction for the unit in Physical Theatre Skills
Stephanie received a high distinction in Physical Theatre for her assessment performance of a chosen monologue from Seven Stages of Grieving by Wesley Enoch and Deborah Mailman. In her chosen piece, INVASION POEM, Stephanie delivered a powerful piece of physical theatre, demonstrating a keen instinct for crafting a physical theatre piece, through the creative and evocative inclusion of props and her emotional embodiment of the character. A fierce and brave performance.
