NAISDA is delighted to be partnering with Ausdance NSW in a new DAIR residency partnership.

The DAIR program offers space residencies at host venues for members of Ausdance NSW who are independent dance artists, collectives or companies. This program is a direct response to the challenge of access to affordable and appropriate spaces for the development of dance practice, creative development, mentorships and rehearsal of work and movement.

This residency invites First Nations artists, from emerging, mid or established career stages. Independent dance artists, collectives, collaborators and companies of any dance genre to submit an application.

The residency partnership is for 1 or 2 weeks.

Applications open: Monday May 6
Applications close: Friday May 24 at 5.00pm
Residency Dates: 8th – 19th July 2019

DAIR residency activities may involve creative development, research, mentorships, rehearsal and remounting of work. Applicants can apply for a residency of one or two weeks.

To be eligible, primary applicants should be NSW based and an Ausdance NSW member however, collaborators may be interstate or internationally based. You can become a member here: www.ausdancensw.com.au

DAIR recipients receive:

  • Two weeks’ of residency space at a host venue
  • Pre-residency planning support from Ausdance NSW
  • Administrative support from Ausdance NSW for the showing of work during residency (if required)
  • Promotion of artist/residency through Ausdance NSW and NAISDA marketing channels
  • A studio visit from Ausdance NSW
